Erik Welman

Erik is a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Full Circle Design Services, with international experience across a diverse range of building types and construction sectors. With a strong interest in sustainable design and performance-led outcomes, Erik brings deep technical expertise in HVAC systems, energy modelling, and compliance optimisation.

A qualified NABERS Assessor, Erik is particularly adept at interpreting energy data and delivering targeted strategies to improve operational performance. He is highly proficient in the use of modelling tools including the Hourly Analysis Program (Carrier) and the IES Virtual Environment, which he uses to support thermal simulations, Section J compliance, and post-construction tuning.

Since joining FCDS, Erik has led mechanical modelling and optimisation across a variety of projects — from schools and aged care facilities to large-scale office developments — helping to refine building systems at every stage of design and delivery.
