FCDS is proud to have supported the delivery of TL Robertson Library at Curtin University and providing sustainable design services. The redevelopment includes significant infrastructure works to address the end of life services and ensure reliable and sustainable operations moving forward. The works also include construction of a new services tower, demolition and replacement of existing façade, a new level 7 events and exhibition space and full refurbishment of all existing levels.

Gnarabup Resort

Location: Gnarabup, WA

The sustainable design strategy for Gnarabup resort was formed in coalition with Westin Marriott’s’ commitment to global sustainability leadership, explained further in their Source 360 documentation. The intent is proposed keeping in mind local and international best practise benchmarking systems such as NABERS and Greenstar. The intent to Conserve, Protect, Restore, and Engage has been realised through the inclusion of several design parameters such as Greenhouse gas management, exemplar passive solar design, environmental footprint minimalization, restoration and revegetation of previous bushfire affected areas and the like.

Perth Zoo Cafe and Function Centre

The Zoo café and function centre are the first stages in the realisation of Perth Zoo’s masterplan 2040 to enable this world class tourist destination to continue to meet visitor and market expectations through the provision of such enhanced amenities and facilities. The design of both the function centre and the café embodies the zoo’s landscape and vernacular. Naturally ventilated open spaces with provision for conditioned air, strategic waste streams, dedicated sustainable initiatives and ample mechanical provisions for the commercial areas and the staff areas will render this facility a benchmark in commercial spaces and will enhance visitor experience.

Florin Parkside – Jolimont

Florin Parkside is a newly constructed multi residential apartment living buildings situated in Jolimont, WA. This multimillion-dollar project will bring 63 residences to the Jolimont area, with the family sized apartments offering sweeping views to the neighbouring park and the CBD skyline. Built by Stirling Capital, the apartments boast of different apartment types, sustainable design inclusions and strategically implemented Greenstar initiatives that have assisted in achieving a highly sustainable “Australian Excellence” 5 star Greenstar rating.

Faulkner Civic Precinct Community Centre

The Faulkner Civic Precinct Community Centre is a transformative civic project by the City of Belmont, designed to serve as a multi-purpose, cross-generational hub. The centre brings together a library and digital hub, museum, senior citizens centre, not-for-profit service offices, café, and crèche, fostering community engagement and service accessibility.
