Forbes Residence is a 13-storey mixed use development in Kintail Quarter, Perth. This project with its sustainable initiatives such as incorporation of wind scoops to ventilate basement levels, low-water landscaping irrigation by use of grey water, electric car charging, solar panels and lots more is targeting a 5-Star green star.

With a Green Plot Ratio of 115% and 182% of the site area as landscaping, in addition to numerous public benefits offered (public gardens and parklets and a community centre) the project will provide an incredible green oasis that will not only contribute greatly to the surrounding Applecross area, but will become a world-class landmark and future precedent for Perth.

The Switch Perth is a 40 storey co-living Student accommodation development located in Wellington Street adjacent to the City Link and Yegan Square.

FCDS was engaged to provide ESD consultation and assist with the Greenstar Certification. The project has achieved a 5 Star GBCA certification.

Since the completion of stage 1 works for the Cirque multi residential building, this project was the first multi-unit residential building in WA to achieve a 5 star Greenstar design rating for Australian Excellence in Sustainable design. The second 20 storey residential tower is all set to be occupied and boasts about 235 apartments and 4 commercial spaces with low toxicity finishes, sustainable materials and ample natural ventilation for improved indoor air quality. Being sustainable and substantially decreasing the embodied carbon emissions right from the construction to completion stages of construction was the primary motive for Stirling Capital to deliver this significant landmark in residential buildings across Perth’s CBD.

The clients wanted the projects’ design to provide residents with work-from-building opportunities and the convenience of ground floor retail and food and beverage amenities. This was achieved keeping in mind the design was aimed to provide a sophisticated and diverse housing and business opportunities within Glyde Street and strongly contribute to the community.

KADA’s design approach led to a 100% dual aspect apartment project that had real street and laneway engagement and no cross views between apartments. This dual-aspect apartment approach minimizes the end user’s reliance on mechanical cooling systems through optimized natural ventilation. Natural ventilation, when combined with the apartments natural lighting, significantly reduces reliance on mechanical heating. The development also features a rooftop communal space, a resident dining area, lounge area, gym and garden terrace to assist with fresh clean air at all times.

Windfall Residences is located on the main commercial strip of the Marina Village in Port Coogee. Just steps from the café strip and Ngarkal Beach, this magnificently designed development features 61 residential apartments sprawling over five floors. There are a selection of 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments. The project has been designed to achieve a 5-Star Green Star rating on a ‘Design’ and ‘As-Built’ basis and will also feature extensive roof top facilities including gymnasium, private dining and lounge, BBQ terrace, and a mix of intimate and group seating areas set amongst landscaped gardens and arbours.
